The New Berlin Activities Committee regretfully made the decision to cancel the events and fireworks due to the costs and lack of volunteers.
“After thorough deliberation, we regretfully have to cancel this year’s Annual July 4th Celebration at the Commons in New Berlin,” the committee wrote on Sunday. “As costs continue to rise, it has become increasingly difficult to afford the caliber of a fireworks display that we strive to provide for our community. This — combined with a lack of volunteers and (limited) projected donations — has led us to the unfortunate conclusion to cancel all July 4th activities for 2024.”
